BKD Cincinnati held its eighth annual Commercial Industries Seminar on May 7, 2014, at Great American Ball Park.
The program focused on sustainability and featured four C-level panelists addressing ways their companies factor and measure the triple bottom line represented by key dynamics—social, environmental and financial.
BKD, LLP Partner Jim Snyder and Director Kelly Postlewaite co-presented with Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance CEO Andy Holzhauser and provided views of sustainability through the lens of enterprise risk and tax financing. Miami University professor and Business Leaders Alliance co-founder Dan Heitger, Ph.D., provided a program summary and insights.
BKD partners Scott Golan and Chris Linck emceed the event and facilitated an exchange of ideas, comments and questions from the more than 100 highly participative attendees.
Keeping with the sustainability theme, the event produced minimal paper. Instead, Eventbrite was used for awareness, communication, registration and CPE-management tools. To help further the learning experience, BKD developed a resource page accessible via an event-specific QR code. Explore the BKD event materials here or by scanning the QR code below.
We are planning an attendee evaluation survey via Eventbrite and will post additional topic materials on the resource page throughout the year.
